A Few Words with Denise Byrne

In this month’s A FEW WORDS WITHSmartLink speaks with Denise Byrne, a founding board member and acting executive director, of the nonprofit organization, Friends of New Orleans [FONO].    FONO is a private, non-profit, non-partisan, membership organization for people in the U.S. and abroad who care about the region. Its mission is to advocate for New Orleans and its surrounding parishes. FONO's approach to its mission and to community building, in general, has much to teach philanthropy about making connections and making a difference in communities.
